Freed on Righteousness

Sandie Freed | On Righteusness
I have read the article written by Sandie Freed, published by Charisma Magazine (Prophetic Insight) regarding the word she believes she received from God for 2012. The name of the article is “Supernatural Grace to Do the Impossible” (retrieved from http://www.charismamag.com/index.php/prophetic-insight/32488-supernatural-grace-to-do-the-impossible)

My first response to Ms. Freed’s article “Freed On Grace” broke quite a few barriers to understanding grace as one of the 12 Foundation Stones. I pointed out that Ms. Freed’s definition of grace lacked structure and context. The problem is that she was drawing from the old foundation, the one that God is busy tearing down.

I also brought out that the old school definition, while perceived to be timeless, is actually a misnomer, embedded in public thought and popularized by charismatic religious personalities.

I received many positive responses from readers who shared with me that it was liberating to receive the disambiguation teaching on grace. You know, a person does not realize how bound they are until someone else turns on the light.

I feel the Lord would have me also address Sandie Freed’s definition of the Element Righteousness. I believe the breakthrough Christian teaching about the 12 Elements (the 12 Foundation Stones) coming through my husband, Apostle Eric vonAnderseck, is timely. I believe that Christians need to have this teaching. And I have seen that when they receive it, it turns their faith around in ways they never thought possible.

Living in Historical Times

These are historical times in which we are living. God has restored to the church all 12 Foundation Stones and their meanings. By restoring the foundation stones God is making it clear to our understanding that He is indeed visiting the church to restore to the church the sword of truth.

We can expect that this work of the Spirit will expose Satan’s lies (which is naturally what truth does). You know, I don’t think Satan’s lie is really understood in today’s Christian culture. Satan’s deception is spoken about in the sense that believers don’t want Satan touching their “blessings” and “robbing them of joy”.  Christians are taught that they need to “breakthrough” depression barriers, and “breakthrough” condemnation and they imagine God assigning them to break “territorial strongholds”. The truth be told. The real problem is the LIE they have been believing about the 12 Foundation Stones.

Satan is a Liar

When Jesus referred to Satan as a “liar”, He was referring to the leaven that Satan mixed into truth. The mixture of error into truth is specifically targeted to keep a believer within reach of his/her comfort zones. The real LIE is the security blanket that you take with you everywhere.

The lie that was believed about grace being God’s unmerited favor worked with the deception that there is no responsibility with grace. That deception is a comfort to most believers who want God to service the flesh. And this is why the pathway of the false doctrine leads to a “blessing”. The lie is reinforced by the deception because Satan knows what your comfort zone is and his promises keep you within reach of that security blanket.

As God removes this security blanket from the grip of the hands of the church, many believers will cry out for the former comforts they found in Satan’s lie. Know this: When you keep the lie, you keep the deception.

Lies Hidden Behind Half Truths

We can also expect that the adversary of our souls will try to reinforce the string of lies that he hid behind half truths for centuries in an effort to keep the church in bondage.

Doctrines based on half truths typically use Bible verses and then state facts that are common to man to present a promise to the flesh. This marriage of scripture to the flesh is what sells the doctrine to the church. Let’s watch how this is carries out in Ms. Freed’s teaching.

We will begin by lifting a few key points from her teaching on the Element Righteousness:
1.  We will take note that the normal spiritual pathways God designed for righteousness to act upon the soul are missing.
2.  We will take note how Freed builds a series of connections to the flesh to assign the Element Righteousness to
service the flesh rather than serve God.
3.  We will note how Freed uses half truths, omissions, and assumptions, to fill the knowledge gaps.

Sandie Freed on Righteousness

Freed says: “Some of you may also believe that you are not "righteous" enough for God to use you. When I mention the word "righteousness," many people immediately think that it involves more performance and perfect behavior – a list of "do's and don'ts" from God. Let me remind you that righteousness is a gift. Yes, righteousness is a gift from God and cannot be earned!”

Let’s examine this for a moment to see how Freed’s teaching on the Element Righteousness measures up to Jesus Christ. After all, this is how true discernment operates. It measures truth to Jesus Christ to determine what kingdom is manufacturing the knowledge being shared. This in turn teaches us about the true anointing. Without the anointing people try to master truth. By the anointing truth becomes your master . That is a very helpful quote from Apostle Eric vonAnderseck that I use it often in my teaching.

To discern what kingdom Freed’s teaching is tied to (the kingdom or darkness or God’s kingdom) we have to look at the pathway Freed has assigned to righteousness. How is she  coordinating righteousness? Where are the half truths?  Is she activating the flesh or activating the Holy Spirit?

Darkness removes these distinction to blur the division between truth and error, but truth brings definition so the face of Jesus Christ can clearly be seen. By blurring the lines between truth and error Satan has been successful in keeping the church in bondage with his half truths, lies, and deceptions.

Sandie Freed’s Half Truths

Half truths are Satan’s hallmarks. A half truth states things that are obvious, implies something that sounds true, but leaves out vital information necessary for faith to function. Let’s take a look at the half truths in Freed’s definition of righteousness.

Freed: “Let me remind you that righteousness is a gift. Yes, righteousness is a gift from God and cannot be earned!”

1. Is righteousness a gift? Yes (the obvious). Salvation through Jesus Christ is a gift from God. That means that each of the 12 Elements of the Gospel, which are designed to set the testimony of Christ in the soul are a gift.

2. Can righteousness be earned? No (the obvious). The moral code of man, which seeks to rival righteousness to pose as Christ cannot take the place of Christ. To learn more about how the moral code of man is the impostor of righteousness GO TO the course. . . The Flesh: Win the Battle in Your Mind: Lesson 8: The Fruits of Iniquity part 1 . . .AND. . .Lesson 8: The Fruits of Iniquity Part 2

Don’t Miss. . . The Moral Code, Lesson 7 of the same series for more BLOCKBUSTER breakthroughs in faith.

3. What is Freed omitting from her definition of the Element Righteousness? What are the assumptions she is making?

a.  Freed assumes that because the moral code of man cannot be accepted as righteousness that there are NO
pathways to righteousness. This is in error.
b.   Freed assumes that because God freely gives righteousness that there is NO responsibility on the part of the believer.
      This is in error.

We see in Sandie Freed’s teaching the omission of the pathway God designed in Jesus Christ to His righteousness. Your faith cannot be built upon half truth, omissions, and  assumption.

God designed pathways to righteousness that you are already aware of, but Satan has clouded them over and you just don’t recognize them anymore. If you are a believer in Christ, you are very familiar with the pathway to righteousness. You know this pathway like the back of your hand. But Satan confused you so much that you did not trust your instincts with God’s grace.

Let me refresh your memory of your conversion to show you the pathway to righteousness. First, take a piece of paper and chart this pathway. Write:

GRACE + FAITH = RIGHTEOUSNESS

Now let’s look at this pathway to righteousness:

GRACE: God assigned 5 key definitions to grace: (1) Communication, (2) Revelation, (3) Illumination, (3) Enlightenment, (4) Awakening

God designed grace to do what? (1) to draw faith from your heart, (2) to give a heart to perceive, (3) to strengthen the will for obedience, (4) to create equity in the inner man, (5) to create single mindedness, (6) grace to create sober mindedness, (7) grace to nourish the heart, (8) to enlarge the heart for fruit (9) to keep us rooted in Him. This is the operation of God in grace. It is supernatural isn’t it? Did you know that God wants you to experience this every day?

When you first heard the gospel preached, the grace of God was present to reveal Christ to you. God communicated the reality of His gift of life in Jesus Christ. This revelation awakened you, it illuminated and enlightened your understanding. God was busy giving you grace to draw faith from your heart. It was as if the windows of your soul opened up and a flood of light entered. Look at all the definitions that God gave to grace to describe this supernatural blessing to you. Grace is like a diamond with all these facets that catch your attention.

To quote from Apostle Eric vonAnderseck’s lesson “The Element Grace”: “Mt.16:17 illustrates perfectly how the grace of God reveals Jesus Christ to the heart. Jesus had asked the question, "Who do men say that I, the Son of man, am?" And Peter said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!" And Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona; for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven." Do you see the definition that Jesus gave to grace? He called it “revelation”.

Jesus Christ was hidden from the carnal reasoning and concealed from man. No man can come to the Father unless drawn by the Spirit, as Jesus Himself said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” (Jn. 12:32). And also, “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him” (Jn.6:44). Grace is the element that speaks of God revealing and communicating Christ to the sinner to draw the sinner to God.

Acts 15:11, ‘But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.’” (See “The 12 Essential Elements of the Gospel - Grace - 5 Key Definitions and 9 Operations” retrieved from http://www.amazines.com/article_detail.cfm/3814887?articleid=3814887)

Alright, what did we learn about the biblical example of grace? That God reveals Christ (GRACE) and man responds in a positive way by yielding to the revelation of God. Peter’s obedience (FAITH) was a direct response to GRACE. Jesus was showing Peter the spiritual pathway God designed for him to follow. You know in your own heart that you had this same experience when you first heard the word of His grace.

God first showed us this divine pattern of faith by Abraham, thus referring to Abraham as the “father” of faith. Abraham knew this secret, that. . .

 GRACE + FAITH = RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Rom.4:4,5, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Do you see the pathway to righteousness? I know you do! Grace + Faith = Righteousness.

Now look at the other element that is in this verse-JUSTIFICATION. What do we learn? That in order for the soul to experience justification, the pathway must follow grace, faith, and righteousness.

Let’s review what we have learned about the first 3 Elements of the Gospel:

Grace: God communicates, reveals Christ to draw faith from the heart.

Faith: Grace is received, the mind and heart acknowledge, mold with, and submit to the revelation of Jesus Christ to the heart.

Righteousness: A declaration from God that you have met this standard that He placed in Jesus Christ. Your faith is a result of His grace.

Justification: This Element of the Gospel means this: (1) free from condemnation, (2) free to act in God’s interest.

Now take that piece of paper upon which you wrote: GRACE + FAITH = RIGHTEOUSNESS and add the Element Justification:

G + F = R + J

Joining justification to righteousness means your experience of justification will be carried by grace rather than the moral code. If the moral code is your righteousness then you will always be struggling against the defiled conscience trying to purify the old man. You’ll be saying, “Grace and righteousness are free gifts, I cannot earn them,” but neglecting the pathways God designed for you to experience Christ.

Satan so blurred the lines between truth and error that Christ is forgotten. The current Christian culture omitted all the things of Christ that the Spirit acts upon for faith to be living and made assumptions about grace based on the flesh. All a person is meant to see is the half truth (salvation is free). If you look closely at the blurred image in the half truth, whose image do you see? Look very closely. I know the image is blurred in the half light so it may be difficult to see. That’s right. That is not the image of our Lord, is it!

God Constructed Spiritual Pathways For us to Identify Jesus Christ

To free your faith from half truths, half light, omissions, and assumptions, I want you to learn about the spiritual pathways God uses to teach you how to identify Jesus Christ. To do that I want us to look at God’s design in the physical world to see how biological pathways work.

What is a Biological Pathway: A biological pathway is a series of actions among molecules in a cell that leads to a certain product or a change in a cell. Such a pathway can trigger the assembly of new molecules, such as a fat or protein. Pathways can also turn genes on and off, or spur a cell to move. (Retrieved from http://www.genome.gov/27530687)

What is a Spiritual Pathway
: God set the design in the physical to preach to us Jesus Christ, to let us know that about His spiritual design. When Jesus said He is the way (John 14:6) He was not describing a metaphorical path, but saying that He Himself is the pathway to God. That is why Jesus died for the sins of the world and rose again from the dead to establish the New Covenant in Himself. Jesus is the design of each of the 12 essential Elements of the Gospel (the 12 Foundation Stones).

A spiritual pathway is a series of actions among the 12 essential Elements that lead to a certain product (the fruit of Christ in the inner man otherwise  known as divine transformation or the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:3-5 talks about the divine power for the divine nature). This is God’s Intelligent Design for Christ-Centered Spiritual Transformation® (IDCCST® ). Grace is the trigger that sets off all the other Elements of the Gospel to play upon the soul.

  • God designed all 12 Elements of the Gospel to carry Christ to the soul to reverse the testimony of Satan and  to establish the soul in the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  • God designed all 12 Elements of the Gospel to unfold Christ in the mystery of God.
When a believer comes into the faith and the 12 Foundation Stones (these 12 essential Elements of the Gospel) are not properly placed in the heart, then 4 things happen: (1) half truths are recited to fill the knowledge gaps, (2) the element (stone) is isolated from the rest, removed from the pathway, (3) “self” is used to measure faith. Which is what we are going to observe further in Freed’s misuse (abuse) of the Element Righteousness.

We already covered how half truths are recited to fill the knowledge gaps so we can move on to item #2. But before we do I would like to state right here and now that in the face of this evidence we must conclude that those in leadership positions (as Sandie Freed) should be held accountable for these gaps. They cannot claim to be knowledge experts And those who instructed them and left them ignorant of God’s pathways cannot claim to be knowledge experts.

A situation occurs when a person's prior knowledge of grace (half truths) remains the foundation. They are always seeking a fuller knowledge (the journey to remove the uncertainty and lack that half truths perpetuate). Sandie Freed’s teaching knowledge does not relate to the way things really work. I would not advise building upon the foundation she is laying for the church.

2. the element (stone) is isolated from the whole, removed from the pathway:  God never addresses any of the Elements of the Gospel as an isolated stone, set apart from the whole. He always describes them as pathways. Actions that are taking place that contribute to the whole work of spiritual transformation. If anyone teaches them as separate from the whole then know this. . .they are teaching half truths.
  • Romans 4:4,5, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” (4 Elements in this verse)
  • Ephesians 4:24, “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (2 Elements in this verse)
3. “Self” is used to measure faith: God does not want you measuring your faith to yourself (your signature skills and talents, the moral code, the God-Code, the fruits of iniquity) or to the Law of Moses. He wants you to measure your faith to Jesus Christ.

The inclination of man is to draw from himself. And Satan knows this and this is why he uses half truths to hide the fact that he is joining the Element of the Gospel to the flesh. This is why Satan isolates the Element from the foundation to link it to the flesh. I know that is not what you want, but that is what has been happening. Let me show you . . .

Freed says: “Some of you may also believe that you are not "righteous" enough for God to use you.”

THE FOCUS: Righteousness is approached from the standpoint of “self”. When we think of God “using you” what comes to mind? One need only look to the hundreds Christian books that are on the market about God “using you” to understand that “God using you” has been placed within the context of the signature gifts you find inside yourself.

For example, if God gifted you with sports, it is said that He can “use you” that way. if God gifted you with a caring personality, it is said that God can “use you” that way, if God gifted you with insight, is it said that God can use you that way. if God gifted you with a beautiful singing voice, etc. etc. I think you get the picture. These are the kinds of things that come to mind.

A major sign that the 12 Foundation Stones of Jesus Christ are not being properly placed in the heart is that faith is not directed to labor with the knowledge of Jesus Christ for the fruit of Christ to be formed in the inner man. Instead, a believer is told that “God will use them.” Faith is directed to “self”.

Have you been told that God will use you? What happens when you hear that message? Your faith is immediately sent on a quest. How Lord? How will you use me? What comes to mind when you think about “God using you?” Exactly! The first thing that comes to mind is yourself.

The adversary of your soul got you again. He has succeeded in targeting the flesh. He wants you to get busy with the flesh, to activate the flesh for faith. That is the worst thing you can do.

Did you know. . .Most believers do not know what the “Flesh” is and so they fall for the same trap over and over again. Don’t let this happen to you! Study the whole course for free online!

GOD’S FOCUS: In contrast,God’s focus is Jesus Christ. This is what Jesus said, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much FRUIT; so shall ye be my disciples.” This is God’s will, that He daily heal your soul from the scars that Satan inflicted and replace those fruits of iniquity with the fruit of the Spirit. To partake of that work of the Spirit you first need the foundation of truth (the 12 Foundation Stones) set within your heart.

The 12 Foundation Stones are: (1) Grace (2) Faith (3) Righteousness (4) Justification (5) Sanctification (6) Holiness (7) Peace (8) Rest (9) Charity (10) Truth (11) Regeneration (12) Renewing of the Mind.

Is Faith to Express You Or Express Jesus Christ?

Each foundation stone expresses Jesus Christ to teach you, as a believer, to express Christ. The stones don’t reflect you. They reflect Jesus. So don’t make this about you and half the battle is won. God wants to see the image of His Son reflected in your faith. He will then reciprocate healing: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. There is an exchange going on by which you daily grow into the likeness of Christ as God heals your soul.

Did you know. . .Faith must represent the One who died for us. Faith must not represent us.

Freed Turned Faith to Represent Herself

It’s very important that you get this. When a person says, “Some of you may also believe that you are not "righteous" enough for God to use you” the measure that is used is self/flesh. Although Freed says with her words that “righteousness is a gift from God and cannot be earned!” (she says this because she can quote the Bible) what she assigns righteousness to DO is to ACTIVATE the FLESH! Do you see that?

Freed’s message is -- God can use you.
God’s message is -- I want to place the fruit of Christ in the inner man.

Freed’s message – Speaks of self – God uses the signature skills (self/flesh)
God’s message -- Speaks of Jesus Christ.

If God judges us according to Christ by the elements, we need not judge ourselves (head traffic) unworthy, or draw from the flesh (something from our signature or moral code) to serve God. To do that means we are counting Christ as unworthy of our faith. The righteous accept the judgment of God in Christ and do not add to their faith the vain things of the flesh, for He said, It is finished.

In Closing

Sandie Freed’s husband, Mickey Freed, claims the apostolic calling, but I don’t see in Ms. Freed’s teaching on grace or righteousness any evidence of apostolic instruction she received from him. The apostolic teaching is missing. I believe we need to hold people in leadership positions who claim the office of apostle accountable for their teaching.

As God brings more of these distinctions to the attention of the church and believers gain confidence in the restored foundation of truth, they will enter into a new era of faith. I’d like to recommend our Free Online Series Tour the Basics.
